He hears the verses of Allah explained upon him, then he persists haughtily as if he doesn’t hear, then you inform him with glad tidings of painful punishment.
When the hypocrites and their blind followers are reminded with Adhikr that for the believers from the first man Adam to the last, there is only one single party as mentioned in verse 58: 22, they are persisting defiantly in the party of Satan mentioned in verse 58: 19, and are following their whims and wills. They are following and propagating the books written by pseudo prophets and hypocritical leaders under the label of Islam. They are the people ‘persist haughtily in the falsehood as if don’t hear’ mentioned in the verse.
